Rosslyn Quilt #2

I zoomed out slightly to capture more of the quilt. The result is a map with less spatial resolution (ie, unlike the first it doesn’t maintain the 1 meter per pixel ratio) but more surrounding quilt.

Rosslyn Quilt

Just across the Potomac River from Georgetown lies Rosslyn, Virginia. It’s buildings are taller than those in DC and much of it’s growth as a satellite city went unchecked in 1960’s. The result is a mish-mash of high-rise buildings without much of a coherent layout. You’d have to pay me to live here, but then again, it would be nice to have congressional representation.
What I like best about this map is the way the Iwo Jima Memorial is reflected around the center.
