I decied to call this map (and the following two maps) “Cuidad Paso” because the source imagery is of the border between El Paso, Texas & Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. I found it very interestin that the USGS included the imagery of Mexico because I thought it was illegal for a government agency to show high resolution imagery of another country. My favorite aspect of this imagery is the lines at the border crossings and how these sometimes fall on a line of symmetry.

This map is unofficially for my DCCAH grant, but since I didn’t include it in the proposal I am going to sit on it for a bit. I know that the DC Convention Center is a massive repository of art and I think my two maps of it would be nice additions.

I went to the Catholic University campus about 2 years ago and fell in love with the Basilica. I believe the dome is mosaiced. :-)
