I decided to go through my archives and catalog the various maps and interactive mapping environments I’ve made this year. Unlike the previous years (2004, 2005, and 2006) where each listing is a blog entry, I decided to use Word Press’ page feature so I can easily update the page each time a new map is made this year. The current total is around 531 maps, but this figure does not include the maps which were not published on my website for various reasons (like being one of a kind or being composed of pixels that are not in the public domain).
In the listing, I’ve chosen to include each variation in the polar coordinate process as an individual map. I also included the interactive mapping environments like “Lost in America’s Last Colony” as a seperate map, even though they are technically aggregates of previously made maps placed into a random mapping environment. To date my favorite is still The GeoColonial Slots!
You can view the complete listing here. It should be updated regularly as new maps are made throughout the year.
