The American Flag in a 51 Star Configuration with One Star Removed

Lately I’ve read a couple articles related to DC becoming America’s 51st state. While I’m wholeheartedly in favor of this prospect, two nights ago I decided to make an American flag showing my frustration with the fact that this route is not currently being pursued.
Above is a static public domain flag I found on WIkipedia by Gunter Küchler that I decided to modify showing what an American flag could look like, but with one star (New Columbia) removed.
Below are the animated versions of the flag that I produced to highlight the lack of the 51st star on America’s flag:
The Precessional Pentagram of Venus

Successive inferior conjunctions of Venus occur about 1.6 Earth years apart and
create a pattern of precessing pentagrams, due to a near 13:8 orbital resonance
(the Earth orbits nearly 8 times for every 13 orbits of Venus).
Was reading about Transits of Venus and came across this graphic on Wikipedia. What a beautiful celestial design.

: rendered at 18,000 X 12,000 :
This was created using a tessellated cut from Redlands Quilt #1. If you look at the zoom in to the center, you’ll see a very slight & rare error in the fabric. It’s only a pixel or two, but somehow there was a mistake made when I rendered the map. Oh well…
