{"id":1388,"date":"2008-05-09T13:13:17","date_gmt":"2008-05-09T17:13:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.nikolasschiller.com\/blog\/index.php\/archives\/2008\/05\/09\/1388\/"},"modified":"2009-06-05T12:27:15","modified_gmt":"2009-06-05T17:27:15","slug":"slomo-the-statehood-snail-visits-swampoodle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nikolasschiller.com\/blog\/index.php\/archives\/2008\/05\/09\/1388\/","title":{"rendered":"SloMo the Statehood Snail visits Swampoodle"},"content":{"rendered":"<div align=\"center\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nikolasschiller.com\/blog\/index.php\/archives\/2006\/06\/11\/809\/\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/nikolasschiller.com\/images\/SloMo_in_front.jpg\"\/><\/a><\/p>\n<p align=\"right\"><small><i>SloMo the Statehood Snail hanging out at the corner of 1st &#038; M Street NE in Washington, DC<\/i><\/small><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>On Tuesday evening after I had finished putting the last coat of wheat paste on to my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nikolasschiller.com\/blog\/index.php\/archives\/2008\/05\/05\/1384\/\">base map installation<\/a> at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.artomatic.org\">Artomatic<\/a>, I decided to venture outdoors and place one of my favorite cartopomorphic creatures on to a couple lampposts outside of the venue.  <\/p>\n<p>The idea was to see if anyone would recognize the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nikolasschiller.com\/blog\/index.php\/archives\/2006\/06\/11\/809\/\">SloMo the Statehood Snail<\/a> when they visited my exhibit space.  He&#8217;s placed about six times on the base map and on three lampposts outside of the venue.  <\/p>\n<p>Artomatic opens tonight and I look forward to seeing if anyone recognizes him when they visit my exhibit space.
